Hey hey hey SS, i hope you remember my nick from the good old vgm central hub ^^

Interesting to see your nick pooping up here at the wiki

i saw that the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motoaki_Furukawa article is in the discussion to get deleted, hoped maybe you can add some reliable sources bout him

greets, gbk

Hey, gbk. It has been a long time, but I'm glad to see you're still kicking around.

I haven't gotten involved in the artist deletion discussions. Recently, my opinion has been that most of the entertainment coverage on Wikipedia should emigrate to a new site with more suitable rules for notability. Wikipedia should just have a very concise set of articles covering games or anime, focusing on global impact.

There should be a new wiki covering recent entertainment genres like these, and where notability is evidenced by the existence of a credit, not a citation in a publication. Sites like IMDB, MobyGames, and VGMdb work this way.

[edit]

the vgmdb has become quite useful for us vgm collectors. but goddamn its sad to see how many albums will probably neber be found to be shared. without donators and a massive collection project it will be quite impossible.
