[edit]

Hello, Hannah, and welcome to contributing to Wikipedia. I hope you will have a successful time doing so. However, there's a couple of points regarding your editing which I think you should be aware of.

  • Firstly, you changed the title of a cited article from '“Search for and Destroy”: US Army Relations with Alaska's Tlingit Indians and the Kake War of 1869' to '“Search for and destroy”: US Army Relations with Alaska’s Tlingit Indians and the NJacy of 1869'; the former is the correct title of the article. Of course we all make mistakes such as that, but obviously you need to be careful to avoid doing so as far as possible.
  • Secondly, the statement that "The Kake War" is a "misnomer" is an expression of an opinion. If that opinion is generally held by scholars, then it probably won't be difficult to find a citation to a reliable source which says so; otherwise the statement should not be in the Wikipedia article. Wikipedia policy is that we require reliable sources for information, and the unsubstantiated say-so of someone who has chosen to create a Wikipedia account is not considered a reliable source.
