Asia Pacific Exchange (APEX)[edit]

Founded in 2018, Asia Pacific Exchange (APEX) is a derivatives exchange regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). It is the third derivatives exchange with the “Approved Exchange” and “Approved Clearing House” licenses in Singapore. APEX is able to offer a suite of futures and options contracts and currently offers futures contracts covering both financial and commodity products.

In May 2022, APEX launched the Bitcoin Monthly Futures Contract. APEX Bitcoin Monthly Futures Contract (ticker symbol BTC) is a USD-denominated cash-settled monthly contract. The contract size of APEX Bitcoin Monthly Futures Contract is 50 milliBitcoin/lot (0.05 BTC). APEX Bitcoin Monthly Futures Contract expires on the last Friday of the contract month and the nearest 6 consecutive monthly contracts are listed.
