Welcome

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page Bristol Temple Meads railway station, seem to be advertising or for promotional purposes. Wikipedia does not allow advertising. For more information on this, see:

If you still have questions, there is a new contributor's help page, or you can write {{helpme}} below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia:

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added such as to the page Euston railway station do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Jezhotwells (talk) 14:18, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Birmingham New Street railway station. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Jezhotwells (talk) 14:19, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Bradford Forster Square railway station. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Jezhotwells (talk) 14:21, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Cardiff Central railway station, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing their websites from appearing on Wikipedia. Jezhotwells (talk) 14:22, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, the reversions and warnings were triggered by repeated addition of (essentially) the same link to a number of pages. I think it might be best to discuss the addition or use of this material at WT:WikiProject UK Railways. They seem pretty active and should be able to help. Decisions on Wikipedia are made by consensus. This may take some time to arrive at., weeks or even months. You only asked a few days ago. Give it more time. Jezhotwells (talk) 20:51, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
