Why do some pages not have the option to edit...i.e. Fall Out Boy's page?

The page is currently protected from editing by new or unregistered users because of vandalism. See Wikipedia's protection policy for details. If you look at Fall Out Boy, on the top right of the page you will see a small lock. This indicates it is semi-protected. In the future if you have questions about Wikipedia, post a comment at the help desk. Otherwise nobody may see your question here. I just happened to be wandering by and saw it. Also, sign your comments by adding four tildes (~~~~) to the end of your message. Welcome to Wikipedia! KnightLago (talk) 20:28, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Kariteh (talk) 14:53, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
