Violations of your copyright

I was recently looking into Metric Media, a giant network of faux-local news sites, when I came across this news story they published. I thought this photo looked familiar, and a quick search revealed that it was File:Loudoun County High School.JPG, which you took back in 2010, and licensed under CC-BY 3.0. That license allows them to use the photo as long as they attribute you, which they currently do not.

Using the photo without attributing you is copyright infringement and thus illegal. You are under no obligation to do anything about this, but if you decide that you want to, c:Commons:Enforcing license terms has some good advice on how to escalate: emailing them requesting that they comply and, if they ignore that, sending a DMCA notice to their ISP.

(Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, and if you're going to actually sue, which you could, you should definitely consult with one)
