Smalrus is the internet handle for Spencer Mitchel Ross. It was established in 1996 as a play on the words "Small Ross" and also the Beatles' song, "I am the Walrus."
The first version of The Smalrus Web Site was created in 1997 and has had eight versions, notably shifting from pure HTML encoding to PHP. Content on the site includes a weblog, personal writings, and a fan and lyrics page for the Connecticut-based band, Rane.
