Poker after dark comment

With all due respect my comment regarding Poker after Dark wasn't a joke.

If you've viewed the episode concerned Phil Helmuth starts to try to dominate the commentating and is directing his comments to Shana Hiatt, she does all of the following while he's talking...

Mumbles a disinterested acknowledgement numerous times Looks away three times rubs her arm twice

My comment was a genuinely serious observation in light of Phil Hellmuths regular comments that he's the best reader of people at a poker table. I also marked the comment as trivia to ensure people could note the comment and then view the episode and draw their own conclusion. I was not meant as a joke, it was phrased in a light hearted way to avoid offence.

Shana Hiatt revert and Adam Schoenfeld revert

I added two comments to both of these entries today and they have both been reverted without comment or explanation.

This is now the third time you've reverted copy without adequate explanation.

Please either put the copy back to where it was or provide an adequate explanation else I'll have no option but to escalate this matter within wikipedia.

First off, create an account and stop posting behind an IP address. Then maybe we can have an intelligent discussion about these things. I generally do not respond to messages from random IP addresses, as this site suffers from a heavy amount of anonymous vandalism.
Secondly, read up on reliable sources and What Wikipedia is Not. Anything that is posted here should be sourced, and this is not a place to post random unsourced comments about Phil Hellmuth's behavior or some rumor about Shana Hiatt. Take a look via Google: there is exactly one web site that even bears mention of it. If you can find this information in a reliable source then post it and cite it properly. Otherwise it does not belong in Wikipedia. SmartGuy 04:13, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

My comments and the wording of them could in no way be described as vandalism. With regard to my Phil Hellmuth comments I accepted your revert and didn't take issue.

However Shana Hiatt is shown on IMDB (which she'll likely be using as a professional contact source) as being married to Tommy Gunn as well as it being shown on his page. With regard to the Adam Schoenfeld comment I specifically stated he was in ESPN's coverage of the 2005 WSOP as he's interviewed in episode three (he's heavily bearded and frankly doesn't look very well - that's what made me look at his wikipedia page to see if he'd been suffering from an illness)....he finally got knocked out in episode 5. Given the current listing for Adam is factually incorrect and not sourced how on earth can you remove my entry based upon information when I've offered the source to be verified. If you like I'll screen grab the shot's for you as I'm watching the 2005 WSOP coverage back to back at the moment.

Wikipedia's own guidelines specifically ask editors to not just revert without comment so please don't quote rules to me that you're not following yourself.

I think you're right about Schoenfeld, so that revert by me was a mistake - my apologies. As far as the Shana Hiatt issue, IMDB is exactly one web site. It is the ONLY place that Google turns up a mention, and it's barely even touched on there. Don't you think that it would be all over the web, on plenty of reliable sources, if it were true? Sure it would. She's a celebrity.
Again, create an account, and stop posting behind an IP address. We can discuss this further once you do that. I'm not trying to pick a fight with you, but please understand that the articles on poker players receive a heavy amount of random comments, rumors, and opinions posted by anonymous users. Make an account. It takes less than 5 minutes. SmartGuy 04:31, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

I did a quick bit of research on Google regarding Tommy Gunn and Hiatt and also found this.....http://www.lukeisback.com/stars/stars/shana_hiatt.htm, also given that IMDB is a very high profile source of celebrity information I'm sure she'd have taken the time to correct the information if it was wrong. If you look at the bio's for Gunn and Hiatt it's likely that they got together in '95 during the Hawaiin Tropic gig they both did together, if they were together for 3.5 years they split up in 98.

I don't post stuff often enough to warrant setting up an account and while I appreciate (and am sympathetic to the fact) you probably do get a huge number of page vandalisms this isn't one of them......just so you know as well watching the most recent episodes of PAD I'm pretty sure she's preggers (but that hasn't been announced anywhere as far as I can tell).

Today I added some very related external links to poker biography's for certain poker players. I think they would be a great contribution to the wikipedia. Smartguy is there any possibility of adding some related external links for poker players?? I know you changed back to the old version. Can we atleast discuss this as you are one of the main editors when it comes to poker pages etc. I can also see you have accepted a large amount of links going to a website called poker-babes.com which also features bio pages of poker players. always open to discussion, as long as edits are made in good faith. How about posting something in the discussion pages on the player's articles, so that others can pipe in as well? Also, remember that removal of one link doesn't necessarily constitute endorsement of those links that are already in articles. I don't really like the pokerbabes links myself but other editors seem to like them. SmartGuy 18:49, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Hello SmartGuy, I posted something in mike sexton's discussion page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Mike_Sexton. Let me know what you think Johan Lindblom 22:42, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Contested Deletion

This is just a notice to inform you that your proposed canidate for speedy deletion via WP:CSD#A7, titled Wingman Inc., has been contested by the articles' creator. You may dispute this upon the articles' Talk Page. ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ talk 19:51, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Your sig

Very strange... your signature breaks the font rendering of Firefox on a Mac. The card suit characters (♠♣♥♦) render as horizontal and vertical lines and I think it has something to do with the "unicode" css you embedded. Nope, they display fine in the edit window, but not in the article. Very strange, indeed. No biggie, I just thought I'd pass that along. —Travistalk 22:18, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Ach...never mind. <SMACKS FOREHEAD> It seems to be a well-known problem. I, being a recent Mac convert, had no clue. —Travistalk 00:35, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
believe me, constructing this "signature" was almost more trouble than it was worth. I'm ashamed to even think of the amount of time that I wasted on it SmartGuy 13:28, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
