Proposed deletion of Suicide Kids[edit]

The article Suicide Kids has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable film.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 03:55, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Suicide Kids, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Suicide Kids. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 18:15, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What makes the film notable to you in no way makes it notable by Wikipedia standards. See this page for the standards that are required. Regarding the bands involved, "rising" and "local" means they haven't done anything on a national or even regional level yet; those words are like key words that tell us, "They aren't notable yet." The film description you've given us reads like it came straight from a press release. Even if it were not promotional in tone, the article would be deleted because it is about a movie that doesn't even come close to meeting our notability standards. Sorry. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 18:19, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

August 2009[edit]

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Suicide Kids. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 18:19, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
