Association with David Elliot?
[edit]Hi, and welcome again to Wikipedia! It appears from your contributions that you may have some affiliation with or close interest in David Elliot. You should be aware that if you represent or are employed by Mr. Elliot, you should use judicious discretion in editing articles regard Mr. Elliot and his work. It is very difficult to provide a neutral point of view when you have a vested interest in the subject of an article.
There was recently an extensive issue during the 2006 elections in which several articles relating to members of the US House of Representatives were edited by persons in the employ of members of the US House of Representatives, this established a firm precedent that Wikipedia will block users who violate WP:NPOV when they have a direct interest in the subject of the articles they edit. Thank you for your time and contributions, and welcome once again to Wikipedia! --Matthew 02:33, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Matthew
Thankyou for your message about my being related to David Elliot - you're quite right, we are related, but my only intention is to ensure those who appreciate his illustration have an opportunity to get the facts right - such as who he is and what books he has illustrated. My intent is no more than that. One thing that you may be able to help me with - I inadvertently uploaded a high quality image file (illustration by David) by accident! I would really like to reverse the upload but don't know how. If you could delete this file for me or give me instructions how to do so, I'd be most grateful. Details are:
Mossflower.jpg

I hope you can help many thanks, Gillian
- Gillian, you can upload a new copy of the image at lower resolution by following this link. After you have done so, leave a message here and I will get an admin to delete the old copy of the image. --Matthew 02:44, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Matthew
Many thanks for responding so quickly. If it's not too much hassle, I won't add an image right now, but I'd be most grateful if you or one of your colleagues could delete Mossflower.jpg
thanks again, Gillian
- I will mark the image for speed deletion.
- Please keep in mind neutral point of view in your edits, I feel like they're alright so far, but others may not and it's a tough line to walk. Please be careful. --Matthew 03:06, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- The image has been marked for deletion, an admin will be along shortly to delete it. --Matthew 03:09, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
