[edit]The article does a great job connecting the content in class to the topic. I could really understand the ways in which “power to,” “power over,” and masculinity played a role in agentic power. Through connecting the article so strongly to class content, it made the article feel more scholarly and as if the author really understood the topic. I also think that the article does a great job including direct definitions of vocabulary, such as power, agency, and leadership, which makes it easier to understand the content. However, I think that the article could be more generalized. For people who haven’t taken this specific class, saying that “politics is gendered” or simply stating that agentic power is “power over” may be really confusing. Because the general population/people not in this class don’t have the context to understand these concepts/vocabulary, the article may seem a bit too complicated. I also think that there needs to be a stronger link to masculinity and agentic power. There’s a brief description on how masculinity creates more agentic power, but the connection disappears as the article goes on. Because of this, it seems like the article is more focused on the role of masculinity in politics rather than the role of agentic power. If there was a stronger connection between the two, I think that the article would more strongly address the topic of agentic power which would improve the article. I would say that this article is just a little underdeveloped but only because of its focus on masculinity rather than agentic power. Once there’s more of a connection between the two, the article will be well developed. Lgay124 (talk) 17:00, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
