Alliance of Hope for Suicide Surivors

[edit]

Hi! I noticed the article you created, Alliance of Hope for Suicide Survivors, as I was going through Wikipedia's log of newly-created pages. I wanted to know if you'd heard of Wikipedia's notability policy. Basically, the policy helps determine whether an article's subject is notable for inclusion in Wikipedia or not. Right now, it isn't quite clear whether the Alliance of Hope for Suicide Survivors is notable or not, especially because the only source it cites is the Alliance's own website. Could you take a look at the notability policy and edit the article to provide more evidence of notability? Thanks! — Preceding signed comment added by Cymru.lass (talkcontribs) 01:17, 9 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I noticed you added a reference from GreatNonprofits to the article, which is a great start. However, there's still some work left. Wikipedia's notability policy reads that, to be presumed notable, an article's subject should have "received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject". The coverage by GreatNonprofits simply isn't deep enough to satisfy the "significant coverage" portion of the notability criteria. Are there any other sources that discuss the Alliance of Hope for Suicide Survivors that you know of? Maybe coverage in a national magazine, or an in-depth newspaper article about the Alliance?
Also, you can reply to the messages I left here by hitting the "edit" link next to the section title. When you do, remember to put 4 tildes (~~~~) at the end of your posts. The website will automatically turn the 4 tildes into a signature that has your username, a link to your talk page (this page), and a date/timestamp. Cheers, — Preceding signed comment added by Cymru.lass (talkcontribs) 00:28, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
