Notability of George Rhoads

A tag has been placed on George Rhoads requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. George Rhoads

Thanks for your message. I think you may have a misunderstanding about the criteria for articles in Wikipedia. "Fame" isn't necessarily what gets an article here. The criteria is "notability". There are an awful lot of entries that aren't famous but are notable. You can see what is required if you look at WP:N, and in the case of the notability of people WP:BIO. To establish notability there must be independent, reliable , substantial and non-trivial sources on that person to verify any claims about them.--WebHamster 10:40, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Staffel~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.

Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
