June 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Dakota Fanning may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 17:49, 7 June 2013 (UTC)

Sourcing[edit]

Hello,

Regarding your edits to Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, please remember to include reliable sources to support all additions you make to articles. Content not supported by sources is seen as original research. Wikipedia policies emphasize that all content must be sourced. Also, as Katieh5584 stated, rumors should not be added to articles. If you have further questions, feel free to ask.

Disambiguation link notification for April 17[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited CJ Adams, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chicago Fire (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Hello, I'm Loriendrew. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Paris Berelc, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. March 2015[edit]

Face-smile.svg Hello, Stargrl! On behalf of the encyclopedia, I thank you for your contributions!

May I ask a favor? Please remember, when citing sources, to use the entire template so viewers can read at a glance the necessary details of the cited source. Cite web and cite news are the most common. As an example, your most recent addition to Hailee Steinfeld looks like this when used in full:

  • <ref name=Marnie>{{cite web|last=Busch|first=Anita|url=http://deadline.com/2015/03/when-marnie-was-there-hailee-steinfeld-kathy-bates-ellen-burstyn-animated-cast-1201386720/|title=''When Marnie Was There'' Nabs A-List Voice Cast, Sets Summer Release Date|website=[[Deadline.com]]|date=March 5, 2015|accessdate=March 6, 2015}}</ref> (The "|" character between parameters is shift+\ on most keyboards.)

Once again, thank you helping make Wikipedia better! —ATinySliver/ATalkPage 22:04, 6 March 2015 (UTC)

Face-smile.svg Hello again, Stargrl! As always, we thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! I must ask again, please, that you remember to use {{cite web}} or {{cite news}} or similar templates when citing your additions to articles, including Hailee Steinfeld. See March 2015 above for an example of how to format these templates. Cheers! —ATinySliver/ATalkPage 19:06, 10 May 2015 (UTC)

Hailee Steinfeld[edit]

Hey, Stargrl! Sorry to revert you but, per WP:NOTNEWS, it's not always necessary to include an exact date or such tabloid phrases as "was revealed that" (the signing happened per a legitimate news agency's report, cited in the article). Cheers! —ATinySliver/ATalkPage 20:07, 22 May 2015 (UTC)

Hi, me again. Sorry to revert this edit. Per notability guidelines, particularly events criteria, when or even whether someone graduates anything is not encyclopedic unless there's a specific reason why it's remarkable for that person. Happy editing! —ATinySliver/ATalkPage 19:18, 28 May 2015 (UTC)

Your continuing insertion of tabloid gossip[edit]

Like the above editor, I appreciate your willingness to pitch in and help WIkipedia. I really need to ask that you be more discerning in your edits, however. Wikipedia does not publish gossip, rumors, tabloid speculation or anything of that nature — if relationship claims are not confirmed by the subjects themselves, their representatives, or reliable sources reporting on official documents such as marriage certificates, we cannot make personal-life claims in that regard. Please read the relevant policy at WP:BLP.

For example, the following is absolutely unsuitable for an encyclopedia;

As of June 2015 Jonas has been frequently seen hugging and holding hands with model and long-time friend Gigi Hadid and the two are reportedly dating, though the pair have yet to confirm this.[1]

  1. ^ "Cody Simpson and Gigi Hadid Break Up 2015". People. May 9, 2015. Retrieved May 9, 2015.

Please be more encyclopedic in your edits and please stop adding unconfirmed relationship gossip. If I can help or give advice on your path to becoming an effective and productive Wikipedia editor, just ask. I'll be happy to help. --Tenebrae (talk) 02:28, 23 June 2015 (UTC)

Another editor besides me reverted exactly this sort of edit of yours here and here. In the latter, you deliberately removed a commented-out note stating WP:BLP policy about not adding uncited personal-life claims. That is completely out of line. You cannot keep adding uncited claims of unconfirmed tabloid gossip and unsupported claims of birth dates and other personal information. --Tenebrae (talk) 04:07, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

Information icon I have requested that you be blocked from editing for an extended period as a result of your continued behavior in contravention of Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy. If this request is granted, you may be denied the privilege of editing until you acknowledge: 1) the damage you leave for others to clean up; and 2) the steps you need to take to contribute constructively.

It is reasonably clear to me that you do not intend to cause damage to the encyclopedia; it is also clear that you have made zero effort to respond to the concerns left here on your talk page or within the edit summaries of those of us who've had to fix and/or revert your edits—repeatedly, in some cases.

If you have any questions, please respond here. Thank you. —ATinySliver/ATalkPage 🖖 21:34, 22 October 2015 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. January 2017[edit]

Thank you for your edits to Hailee Steinfeld. Unfortunately, they had to be reverted. Daily Mail is not considered a reliable source as concerns celebrity gossip. —ATS 🖖 talk 20:35, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

April 2017[edit]

Your edit to Hailee Steinfeld had to be reverted. Specifically:

  1. too much data for Steinfeld's article—would have fit better in the film's article;
  2. citation overkill;
  3. Twitter citation was specific to the actor wrapping, not the film.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a fan site. What we include here must be reliable, verifiable and notable.

Is there any particular reason why you constantly need to be reminded of our policies? —ATS 🖖 talk 20:03, 6 April 2017 (UTC)
