Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles, as you did to Startup Weekend. Advertising, and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox", is strongly discouraged. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Douglasmtaylor 20:09, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Startup Weekend[edit]

{{helpme}} We created a post for Startup Weekend. Our intention was not promotional when creating the page, it was to describe to the community that this non-profit event happened and what we learned. For example, the Bolder Boulder has a page on Wikipedia and is a for profit event. Please let us know what you believe is promotional in our post for Startup Weekend and explain the difference between the Bolder Boulder page and ours.

It's a advertisment ad which doesn't have notability on the encyclopedia. For this, the article will be deleted. Please see the below message on how Wikipedia works. Thanks. Miranda 20:25, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
