Kind sir, Being a newbie to Wikipedia, I'm not certain if this is exactly the proper place for this kind of thing, but I noticed that not only did you create the O-Ringen article in English, but also wrote almost all the content for the Finnhamn article as well. I am quite familiar with Ingmarsö and the surrounding area (including Finnhamn) since my family owns a summer house there (or, I should say, here, since I am on Ingmarsö as I type this), and I will also be going to O-Ringen for the first time this year. If you have any tips on how I can make the most of my time at O-Ringen this year, or, alternatively, if there are some orienteering-related or Stockholm archipelago-related articles that you want to enlist someone to contribute to, feel free to leave a note on my talk page. Thanks! Vanillacreem 15:55, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi StevenH,

Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia articles related to orienteering. If you are interested in orienteering, you might like to add WikiProject Orienteering to your watchlist (see Help:Watching pages).

Thanks,

Tour skating

[edit]

Hi Steven, I think your article about Tour skating was very good. There are many sites world-wide that refer to it. However, as of Jan 12 2009, most of the content referring to the Swedish style has been deleted. Most English speaking skaters that I know use "tour skating" and "nordic skating" as synonyms. I have also mentioned this to the Swedish tour-skating forum at: Utsidan, which includes the author of the Swedish version sv:Långfärdsskridskoåkning What do you think. As suggested by several people(Tomas e, Kr-val) at Talk:Nordic-skating, I merged back the deleted content, with a short description of the "toerschaatsen" Ddermott (talk) 13:53, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
