Citation Needed on Faustus
[edit]Hi Stratpod.
Nice job of cleaning up on The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus! It's nice to see someone take an interest in these articles.
Just wanted to let you know that the citation needed marking needs to be inserted in articles using the template {{Citation needed}} (a convenient shortcut that produces the same result is {{cn}}). Like other wikicode and templates this will be expanded, when you save the page, to the superscripted “citation needed” text as well as—and this is the crucial bit—adding the article to a hidden maintenance category. When you simply insert the text “citation needed” and format it the article won't be added to that category and it'll be harder for other editors to find it.
Anyways, just wanted to let you know about the templates and say thanks for the cleanup on `Faustus. --Xover (talk) 06:11, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Ah, uhm… I actually have to admit I have no idea. There are some attempts at a complete overview of Wikipedia, but I've mostly just picked it up as I go along. For instance, when you edit a page you can see a list of the templates used below the edit field; and if you follow those links you usually get to some kind of documentation for that template. Each template also often provides links to related templates in its documentation, and templates are organised into categories much like articles are. By poking around like that, and watching what other editors do, you'll pick up the most important ones fairly quickly. The information in the Help links in the toolbar on left isn't the best organized in the world, but browsing around there can also point out a lot of useful stuff. Anyways, if you can't find it documented anywhere, you can always ask another editor (I'd be happy to help if I can) or on the relevant article talk page. --Xover (talk) 20:55, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

Your draft article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Coalition of Resistance
[edit]Hello Stratpod. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Coalition of Resistance".
The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply {{db-afc}}
or {{db-g13}}
code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Coalition of Resistance}}
, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Rankersbo (talk) 10:09, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
