Draft:Zain Khalid

[edit]

@Significa liberdade: thank you for your comment on my contribution Draft:Zain Khalid

i was comparing the author's info with other wikipedia pages for authors and found that mr. khalid has more awards and recognition than some author pages that exist on wikipedia, which is why i thought it to be valuable.

i also found more references: https://www.dailyfreeman.com/2023/10/22/mid-hudson-valley-people-on-the-move-for-oct-23-2023/https://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/authors/profiles/article/88598-snow-days-2022-adult-authors-to-meet.html https://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/industry-news/libraries/article/92550-the-week-in-libraries-june-16-2023.html

Hi, Su2914 -- Thanks for reaching out for guidance! I know it can be frustrating when you see other pages on Wikipedia that are "worse" than the one you've created, yet the one you've created has been declined. As someone who creates a lot of biographies for women writers, I've been in this place many times!
Khalid's book, Brother Alive, has received a lot of coverage, which is why it has its own Wikipedia page. However, none of the sources I'm seeing for the Draft:Zain Khalid page provide extensive coverage of Khalid aside from the book. The only potential accomplishment I'm seeing from the sources that's not directly related to the book is the Bard Fiction Prize, but that's not considered notable by Wikipedia's guidelines.
To help better understand how to show the notability of Khalid outside of his work, you'll want to find sources from reliable, secondary sources that provide significant coverage of Khalid.
I hope this help! Let me know if you have further questions. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 01:44, 4 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
