Talk pages

Try reading up about using WP:AFD - rather than the article talk page - no one might read that for ages - also try the Indonesian project noticeboard SatuSuro 06:41, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much! I'm still very new at this, and I really appreciate the advice. :) Sutematsu (talk) 06:51, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merge discussion for Republic of South Moluccas

[edit]

An article that you have been involved in editing, Republic of South Moluccas , has been proposed for a merge with another article. If you are interested in the merge discussion, please participate by going here, and adding your comments on the discussion page. Thank you. Sutematsu (talk) 07:29, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Canvassing as you have just done has to be done very carefully - otherwise it can be understood as the negative part of Wikipedia:Canvassing - read up on things before jumping - specially if you are new user SatuSuro 07:51, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks again for the helpful links. I was doing my best to follow the recommendations in Wikipedia:Merge so that those who have been contributing to the page aren't left out of the discussion. Especially considering how much attention the page has been getting in 2010, I thought it might be good to have several people in on the discussion. Still, it's always good to have the extra links - it can get pretty labyrinthine here on the back-end! I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever be able to read it all... Sutematsu (talk) 07:55, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
nah as long as you can hand the knocks - better go WP:BOLD and be prepared to be bitten WP:BITE - or simply watch what others do - get some active eds on your watchlist and watch their progress and how they deal with process - I am not a good example viz my preoccupations [1] - keep looking at all the links and darker sides of the labyrinth - just to see where you have got yourself - just remember all edits on wp are googleable - keep your privacy at your comfort level - not others - cheers SatuSuro 08:52, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Update: I merged it. While I was initially not convinced, the more I tried to define two separate articles, the more it became apparent that a single article was fine. Perhaps there is scope for splitting another related topic off if the article gets too long, but we'd need a very clear definition and scope of work. But, it's not too long yet. thanks --Merbabu (talk) 21:45, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
