A tag has been placed on Tristian requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles – see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 03:00, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: You may create an article about a rapper if you can establish that they meet the guidelines for inclusion for musicians. For example, to be notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia, they must have had a nationally charted single or album or have been the subject of multiple news articles. It does not appear that Tristian meets those notability guidelines. Perhaps in the future he will have a hit single or album and then he will be notable enough for Wikipedia. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 03:59, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Tristian. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. ttonyb (talk) 03:42, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Tristian. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. ttonyb (talk) 04:14, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message at Talk:Tristian

[edit]

The reason this page has now been deleted three times, and why it has been nominated for deletion again, is because the subject fails the general notability guideline. Specifically this is an article about a musician signed to an unknown record label, with absolutely no reliable sources that reference his notability. Also because the username of the creating editor is TR25 (talk · contribs), and Tristian is 25 years old, it is highly likely you are writing about yourself, which is seriously frowned upon at Wikipedia. See Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest guidelines for more information. Finally when something is deleted, if you disagree with the deletion, just recreating it doesn't do you any favours at all, and will probably get the link salted once the article is deleted for the last time. If you want to contest the deletion after the event, please use deletion review. Many thanks. -- roleplayer 02:12, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
