Taeyeon[edit]

She doesn't quite meet the notability guidelines for inclusion just yet, as she hasn't done anything notable by herself. I suppose it's debatable, so if you disagree, feel free to recreate it, but make sure you find reliable sources that prove her notability, and that the information is verifiable. I'm not talking about her popularity or her "worth". It's her fame as a solo entertainer. Of course she's famous, as the leader of Girls' Generation. She's had a couple of solo singles, and she did We Got Married for a few months. But it's not like she really did anything as "Taeyeon". So keep that in mind. Don't remove the template during the AfD discussion. If you want to save the article, please the article with reliable source. Also you inserted "unfree copyright image". If you keep inserting the image and remove the template, you could be in trouble. --Caspian blue 12:37, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[1][2][3][4][5] this forum / blog sources are a no-no. Read WP:RS.--Caspian blue 12:41, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, the article can not be deleted right now until the AfD discussion ends. If editors agree to keep it, then you're no way to delete the article.--Caspian blue 12:49, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Images from promotional or "official" sources cannot be used on biographies of living people, for the most part. Please note that the only images of Taeyeon that can be used are essentially fan-taken ones. And even in those cases, the photographer's rights have to be waived or somehow dealt with. (By default, if people upload their own pictures to flickr.com, the rights are under CC2.0 or whatever that is, so those are okay.) Even if you yourself crop an image, the original image is under copyright, which means that it cannot be used. Please read over Wikipedia's policy on non-free images. (I'm specifically talking about Point 12 under Unacceptable Use in Images.) Thanks in advance. SKS2K6 (talk) 01:28, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah...but that picture itself is problematic because it is a copyrighted promotional picture. And just to clarify, getting a picture from flickr is actually okay, provided that that user actually took that picture (and didn't just upload random copyrighted pictures).
