May 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to San Francisco Art Institute. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. San Francisco Art Institute[edit]

I have removed the content you added to San Francisco Art Institute for multiple reasons. The first being that the content appears to be clipped from various sources and is therefore a copyright violation. Secondly, the content is overly promotional and the guideline for content related to schools recommends against including a school's mission statement. Please do not undo the removal of the content. Thank you. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 18:48, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 00:51, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
