  • My previous page was deleted because of lack of notability. This time there are quite a few new references and links. You guys got to guide me rather then just deleting my page. I have tried to contact User:Ron Ritzman but there is no reply from him. so As i was not aware of the rules just went ahead and published the page. Give me a chance. • The reason for deletion the first time was lack of notability. That's the reason why I did not make any major changes to the text. A BLP could not have many changes except for being non-promotional, and I have tried every bit not to be promotional. Just stated everything to the point. Please user:Ukexpat and other editors please this is a mistake. Please do remove the speedy deletion template and help me work on the article in a guided way. • Made some changes added additional references to give better notability to the article. Please do consider removing the speedy deletion tag.

It's been hours and none of the editors are responding to my request. Please I need some proper guiding comments. Tani12 (talk) 22:41, 23 March 2012 (UTC))[reply]

There is absolutely nothing here that meets any sort of notability, especially as per WP:MUSIC. I spent 15 minutes digging, and found nothing. My advice: give up until this guy becomes the next David Guetta. Oh, and don't whine about "it's been hours" ... this is an encyclopedia ... there's no time limit - we're all volunteers around here (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 23:50, 24 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Great Thanks : Hi! Thanks for your response. Would surely like to ask you are all DJs or music artist added in Wikipedia equal in status to David Guetta? How do the editors allow the others to exist here?

Thanks for reminding me that all editors are volunteers and I am of the opinion that on these very basis we should genuinely respect time. Believe me I was looking for genuine advice. User:Bwilkins I am just trying to follow your motto and am contributing to the encyclopedia. Once again thanks for sparing your precious time to advice me. No, David Guetta is not the line of notability. However, they do have to meet Wikipedia's strict notability standards. I have already pointed those standards out to you. I have dug into additional search pools that are not typically open to the public in both English and French, and I cannot find valid, 3rdparty reliable sources that offer any form of this person meeting those standards.
Notability of bands, musicians, and DJ's is the toughest thing for many new editors - we delete literally thousands of garage bands, club DJ's, etc every single day. Some of those have even been created by someone close to the artist!
I would cut your teeth on some existing article - get a better feel for the threshold for notability. Contributed based on your background and reliable sources you have available to you. Someday this individual may warrant an article. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 11:02, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks User:Bwilkins for your prompt response. I am not here to take up a fight with anyone, just am trying to resolve an issue I am facing in a neat way. Thanks. Tani12 (talk) 20:32, 25 March 2012 (UTC))[reply]
I'm sorry that I didn't have the time or the resources to put into this that Bwilkins did but I did look at the sources in this draft and they don't seem to be what we are looking for. A somewhat blunt but accurate summary of what we are looking for is at WP:42. Basically, journalists working for news organisations with editorial oversight have to write articles about him that appear in newspapers and/or online. What this has meant is that there are lots of local artists, youtube celebrities and such who are quite popular and generate a lot of buzz on forums and blogs and such but who have had their articles deleted because no "real" reporters had taken note of them yet. --Ron Ritzman (talk) 23:45, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

    • Thanks a lot for your response User:Ron Ritzman. Needed your opinion and am glad that I got it. The way you have put things makes everything so understandable. I shall see what I need to do further.

Nothing against any one but the way some seniors put their opinion across is very discouraging and impolite.Tani12 (talk) 13:22, 26 March 2012 (UTC))[reply]
