Speedy deletion of Dont wanna go to bed now

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Dont wanna go to bed now, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

The article has been created already, Don't Wanna Go to Bed Now and has been redirected into the album's article. It does not qualify to have its own article per WP:SONG.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Lillygirl (talk) 06:57, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:question

[edit]

Hi, please find a website source that anyone can look at, rather then just people living in Australia for "Don't Wanna Go to Bed Now". Even though it is being "released as a single", it shouldn't always get its own article. Wikipedia:Notability (music) states "Most songs do not merit an article and should redirect to another relevant article". It states that songs deserve its own article if;

  • "[the song] Has been ranked on national or significant music charts."
  • "[the song] Had won significant awards or honors or that have been performed independently by several notable artists."

The "Don't Wanna Go to Bed Now" song has not done any of these points, therefore should not have an article about it at this point in time, just a mention about it in the album's article page. Thanks. Lillygirl (talk) 14:17, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
