Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. You have violated one or more of our rules, including rules against adding spam links, posting advertisements, using Wikipedia for promotion, and editing inappropriately with a conflict of interest. Although Wikipedia has a great many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, it is considered inappropriate for such groups to use Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. See Wikipedia:Conflict of interest for the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals here, you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

If you do intend to make contributions that are in line with Wikipedia's policies, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} below this message box.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
See also Wikipedia:Appealing a block for more information.

Request reason:

Insert your reason to be unblocked here

Decline reason:

If Teliris deserves a Wikipedia entry, it will have to be posted not by the company itself. Since you don't intend to adjust your approach, your appeal is declined. Mangojuicetalk 15:41, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Teliris is making innovative moves in the area of telepresence, a valid part of the histrocial development in telepresence, which have far reach environmental implications. As our main competitors haven't adopted this new technology we wish to educate to the existene of 6G telepresence which enable organisations to use the internet rather than the highly expensive resources which mean only large organisations can afford. I'm only using a similar format to Polycom and Cisco.

All current wiki enters mention these 2 organisations whose systems as every expensive. I do work for Teliris but with our environmental work Teliris is a valid inclusion in wiki and I appeal to be able to create a page that reflects innovations in technology and Green IT. Please —Preceding unsigned comment added by Teliris (talkcontribs) Teliris (talkcontribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic.

In other words, you admit that this account is being used on behalf of a company, group, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. That's not permitted here. --Orange Mike | Talk 15:31, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Wow I feel like I'm being stonewalled here. I'm trying to understand, why when I followed another pages template (Polycom) why theirs is still there and ours has been declined. Only trying to understand as I felt I had followed the instruction on creating a page similar to one that existed. Never said I wouldn't 'change my approach'. I am using it to promote - but the benefits of telepresence technology as developed by Teliris - no other company has a telepresence platform that can be used in third world companies. Happy to edit it with an environmental approach to the benefits of telepresence but again I would only be able to use material gained by reports collected from our customers. Of course remove the list of products, I do understand that error (though again Polycoms is huge) and replace with substantiated environmental benefits support by Teliris- no other company provide FREE environmental stats that help our customers win awards and offset their carbon emissions.

From my educated view of telepresence the current links to the wikipedia page on telepresence only show the technology and their is a more relevant environmental message to share. B y only having Polycom, cisco and Tandberg new customers are getting the wrong info, view. I'm after advice, guys, help.

Decline reason:

You are not being 'stonewalled,' and the answer given in your block notice and in the first response to your request for unblocking is correct. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a business directory, and so we do not accept self-listings from companies. If your company is truly notable, then it is inevitable that someone outside the company will read about it in the business journals and be interested enough to write about it. The answers you are looking for can be found in your block notice. Specifically, see Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for common questions from organizations looking to promote themselves. And see WP:BESTCOI for the kind of measures you could agree to take that could lead to an unblock: note specifically that you would not be allowed to repost your article or push for its inclusion.
