Reliable Source?: Genius (question mark)

[edit]

I was reviewing over this page and I see that you guys don't have a "Credits and personnel" section... and I was wondering if Genius would a reliable source to document the credits. I don't know if I'm being honest. Like, my take of Genius is that it's literally Wikipedia but it's for music nerds like me. Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) I'd say the same thing, but Genius seems alright at first glance, but not perfect. Normally, Tidal is used for the credits and personell, so I might just add that from there. TheCartoonEditor | (talk) | (contribs) 14:05, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@JackReynoldsADogOwner and TheCartoonEditor: WP:RSPSOURCES says that Genius is unreliable. As well, it is a user-generated source, so it is unreliable. It is like Wikipedia, completely unreliable, but at least Wikipedia bothers to cite sources and not include speculation. But that’s beyond the point. Tidal is better for credits. @Doggy54321 and JackReynoldsADogOwner: ready to add!
@Doggy54321 and TheCartoonEditor: Thank you both for clarifying that for me!! Jack Reynolds (talk to me!) (email me!!) 14:11, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Noice. It seems that you’re both pretty eager to add the credits so I’ll let you do that and I can copyedit/fact-check it after. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 14:13, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
