Proposed deletion of Impulse drive

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Impulse drive, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Judgesurreal777 (talk) 19:13, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Impulse drive

[edit]

I have nominated Impulse drive, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Impulse drive. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Judgesurreal777 (talk) 04:47, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Note

[edit]

This account was used by a legitimate Wikipedia editor who contributed before February 2002, and was subsequently taken over by a sockpuppet of JarlaxleArtemis. This was possible because the account was abandoned by its original owner after Wikipedia converted to phase II software (which became MediaWiki) in late January 2002. Since the only way for the original user with this name to gain access to this account is by developer intervention, this account should remain indefinitely blocked.

The name of this user is currently stored with an underline in the Wikipedia database; see bug 323 for the reason why this user's edits from before February 2002 do not show up in the user's contributions list. Examples of this user's edits include this edit to CP/M and this edit to Impulse Drive. Graham87 01:40, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As it turns out, this was an alternate account of Ansible. Graham87 01:49, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Some edits from 2001 now appear in this user's contribution list. They were imported from the Nostalgia Wikipedia, a copy of the Wikipedia database from 20 December 2001. They can be accessed through the contributions page because during the import process, all underlines in usernames are converted to spaces. Graham87 12:07, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
