Hello Threnos, it would be nice if instead of reverting a spelling, which is a source of contention, you participated to the talk: Which Shelley's version--Gciriani (talk) 04:28, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

Errr... a) everyone in the recent page history has been reverting "desert". Have you noticed? b) There was also a comment in the article that effectively enforced the "desart" spelling.

So now, you're telling me, in that context, that I'm supposed to assume that there is not agreement on the issue? Please stop assuming that a user such as myself can read minds. You see how your approach here makes it impossible for newbies to contribute? "Oh, despite my best judgment, well there's still this other consideration over here that I have no way of knowing about, but still, yes, all my fault for not knowing about it despite everything about the article itself supporting the edit I just made." It is a polite request, although I would have worded it differently. Several of us who have paid attention to the article have been discussing both on-wiki and off-wiki how to address improving this article for the past month or so. It's one of Wikipedia's more popular poetry articles--recently because of its use on the tv programme Breaking Bad, so seeing that interest has spurred a couple of us who have thought about this article in the past to actually move it up in terms of priority against other projects we work on. If you'd like to contribute to that discussion so you, me, User:Gciriani, and any other interested party who comes to the table can decide together what version of the four early versions we should put up at the article, we'd love to hear your thoughts on the matter, and if you know of any scholarly sources that can help us determine which is the best course, please bring them to the discussion. --ColonelHenry (talk) 14:27, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
