Ejection seats and such[edit]

Hello there. I am pleased to have been contacted on this matter, I was mulling over building a rewritten version with the use of compliant sourcing whne you commented on my talk page. Basically, the issue that was there in the well-meaning edit was that the source chosen may not be reliable or truthworthy enough for use as verification of information. I've performed a specific search of the best source material I can make reference to at hands, published books, and I've managed to find a few good sources that'll cover the info perfectly, with a few changes. If you want, I can begin drafting the piece below; I'm thinking of placing it within the Design section of the article. Kyteto (talk) 09:46, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The B-52 shared many technological similarities with the preceeding Boeing B-47 Stratojet strategic bomber, the two aircraft have the same basic design, such as the use of swept wings and podded jet engines;[1] the cabin beared several similarities as well, including the crew ejection systems.[2] On the B-52D, the pilots and ECM operator ejected upwards, while the lower deck crew ejected downwards; until the B-52H, the gunner had to jettison the tail gun and bailout.[3]
