Hisagi's zanpakuto

[edit]

That's not a source either. Post something reliable and verifiable and maybe we'll consider it. You don't hold and wield beams of light. StardustDragon 18:20, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Theres nothing to prove that its his shikai the seconds worth of video dont actually show his sword, he is seen clapping his hands together and the light/kido is shown forming. I may be wrong but the review from someone who has seen the movie states it is not his shikai.

if it's a radical change of it's sword, we consider it his shikai. once again, and the point you fail to even attempt to rebut, kido spells cannot be held or wielded like weapons. the seconds of video show him just holding it. StardustDragon 23:02, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The point I was making was that in the two videos you don't see his sword at all, in all of the openings it is used once ( blocking an attack from Hitsugaya without drawing it from its sheath) all zampakuto releases have to be made with sword in hand, his sword is not seen in the clips. Also kidos have been shown to be touched and broken, bakuo 63 is a solid physical chain which was broken by Muguruma Kensei's strength and bakudo 61 was seen to be broken by the 9th Espada in which he held and snapped a beam of light, there is no proof to say that kido spells cannot be physically touched or held. Just read this weeks manga, no Hisagi, majorly sucky!

Has a kido spell ever been physically held? No. I've already told you. In the past, a radical change of weapon has been considered a shikai. We did this with Kensei's knife, we did this with Iba's sword (and still do). Hisagi is not, and will never be, an exception. And bakudo 63 does not count as it actually created a physical object to hold. Beams of light and solid chains are completely different things. StardustDragon 17:41, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see you're the one now avoiding points. 1- you neglected to defend the point that his sealed sword is never seen before the release and therefore cannot be released because he wasnt holding it, so it cannot be his shikai 2- you haven't mentioned bakudo 61 a beam of light (well six) that was held and broken, so yes a kido spell has been held in the past! Obviously Kensei's knife is a realease as hes been seen releasing it. As with taking Ibas sword to be his shikai its obviously is as it retains the same hilt as his sealed zampakuto so can safely be assumed to be his shikai. Another point backing my argument is that an important aspects of an anime/manga such as sword releases are NEVER shown in the anime before they are shown in the manga, as it would not be taken to be cannon, this has never happened and I very much doubt it will ever be.
