You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.
If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page.
You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Thank you. Alexf(talk) 11:01, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
Email received from user:
- Hi Alex,
- My english is bad and I don't understand why you are blocked my username: Titanium
- It's my pseudo on the net from a very long time (At least 15 years)!
- I use it on all the forums (music, motorbikes, tatoos, computing, development...). Where is the problem?
- Responding here because email is not the correct venue for this. Email is only used for private messaging with requests that for some reason the user prefers to remain private.
- The way to ask questions, and request for reinstatement or unblocking, if this is what is asked, are clearly explained above.
- To answer your question, your repeated edits to OnyX, indicate you are spamming your site (www.titanium-software.fr). This is a clear violation of conflicts of interest, spamming, and in this particular case, the username rules as your account matches the name of your company. Granted, as the name itself is a common dictionary word, should you properly request as explained above, and promise not to edit with COI, I would be considering an unlock, and so might other admins. Repeatedly spamming your site is unacceptable. -- Alexf(talk) 19:18, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
