[english 306] Working on an article for the Monongalia Arts Center, as part of a Wikipedia-related project for English 306: Topics in Humanities-Computing at West Virginia University.

Hey, I'm afraid I have deleted the image. For an image to be freely usable on Wikipedia, it has to be released into the public domain or under a "free" license (one that allows both redistribution and modification, even for commercial purposes)- Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 3.0 being a common one. Permission for use only on Wikipedia means that the content cannot be reused by others, which is a central goal for Wikipedia. If you have any questions, you're welcome to contact me on my talk page. If your friend is happy for the image to be released under Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 3.0, please direct him/her to email photosubmission@wikimedia.org, attaching the photo. In the email, they should explain that they created the photograph and that the copyright belongs to them, but that they are willing to release the photograph under Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 3.0. They should also provide a link to the article in which the image should be used and a note about who it shows. Sorry that this is so awkward- Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.
