Proofreading
[edit]Hi! I didn't realize you were already proofreading when I stepped in to do the job. I hadn't tried proofreading before and didn't know the protocol.--el Aprel (facta-facienda) 17:04, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
- No worries. I actually did the initial translation for Mikel Laboa, so your proofreading was much appreciated. ¡Gracias! -- Tonyle (talk • contribs) 18:12, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Tonyle. I just reviewed your Spoken Article recording of Hurricane Dog (1950). It was really good. Could you listen to one of the articles I've recorded and give me some pointers?

Spoken madness
[edit]Hiya Tonyle! Your voice-over recordings sound great! Would you mind me asking what kind of mic you use? Better yet, do you have any tips on reducing this background noise, or is it just too much? You're recordings seem to have a completely silent background; amazing! Is it my mic that's creating that constant fuzziness? Sorry for all the questions! Cheers mate, Arbitrarily0 (talk) 01:36, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
- Just realized most of these questions are answered on your userpage, oops! :) It's just that background noise I've been having trouble with. Arbitrarily0 (talk) 17:43, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for your comments. I listened to your recording and I think Audacity should be able to get rid of most of it. You may need to experiment with the noise-reduction level to get it right, since your voice will end up sounding hollow if you overdo it. Good luck! Tonyle (talk • contribs) 05:42, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks Tonyle. I'll try another recording project soon and I will let you know how it turns out. Cheers, Arbitrarily0 (talk) 12:35, 24 August 2011 (UTC)

Women's history editathon
[edit]Hey - Sorry for the late notice, but since you have yourself tagged as living in the Bay Area, I thought you might appreciate notification that we’re having an event Saturday! It’ll be held at Hoyt Hall, an all-women's house of the Berkeley Student Cooperative from 3 to 6 pm tomorrow. The main event page is here. Anyone is welcome to show up, but we’re expecting a significant number of people to come who have literally never edited Wikipedia before. If you’re an experienced Wikipedian who would be able to provide useful help to some of the newbies, your presence would be especially appreciated (and it might be a good idea for you to show up at 2 or 2:30 instead of three. Thanks, Kevin Gorman (talk) 02:07, 6 April 2013 (UTC) I’m AWB’ing this message to all Wikipedians who have tagged themselves in the bay area. I’m sorry if the message isn’t of interest to you; feel free to delete it. I’ll be unlikely to send future messages in a similar way, but if really don’t want to receive future messages of this sort, please let me know.

Disambiguation link notification for April 9
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Billboard year-end top 30 singles of 1950, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Tony Martin and My Foolish Heart. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
