NZ opinion polls[edit]

Thank you for updating the opinion poll graph. I've been meaning for some time to learn an appropriate statistical package so I could do so, but you've saved me the trouble. I haven't seen such a graph in any other source; this is something which makes Wikipedia a particularly valuable source for election data.-gadfium 05:30, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

You're welcome - I felt the same way, and being overseas (Denmark), wanted to know how it all stands at the moment. I've tried to post the source code with the document, but its fairly complex and completely hoses the wiki text - if you have any suggestions how to get around this, I'd love to hear them. It works by reading the HTML from the webpage and parsing in, so the idea was that it should be easy for anyone to run. --Trevva (talk) 23:48, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Mana party data problem?[edit]

Great work on the R script for extracting data from the web page. I'm trying to get a graph including Mana party support, but it keeps choking on some part of the html data (I think), and I can't see what it might be. I can plot every column of data except Mana (Progressives plots, but isn't very interesting). I want to be ready to include the Mana Party in the "minor parties" side graph, but at the moment would be unable to if they polled over 1% in the near future. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Ridcully Jack (talk) 23:48, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
