I moved your article to User:Trupwr/Steve Mckinnon. The problem is that it is written like an advert ("Training from 4 years old with Shotokan Karata, reaching Black belt then started fighting kickboxing at age 16 now 32 and still going strong.") - it looks very much like you are writing about yourself or someone you know, especially since you have zero other contributions to the encyclopaedia. Ahem, see the above. The idea was that you fix it to be compliant with policy, not just slap it in yet again. You don't seem to be heeding feedback and you don't appear to have any other edits at all, so the suspicion is that you have some connection to the subject. You need to start engaging with people and not just posting the same text over and over when you're told there are issues with it. Guy (Help!) 13:22, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

you didnt even go to the trouble of re-reading it i had edited it. thanks for being so helpful Trupwr (talk) 13:47, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • I did. The language was still highly promotional. You do not answer the question of whether you have a connection with the subject, which very much looks to be the case given your fierce determination on this subject and your complete lack of any involvement anywhere else at all. sorry i do not have any connestion with Steve mckinnon. you would think if i was steve mckinnon or a was a friend of his i would know a lot more about this person. the reason i havent done any edits before and this is my first is, everyone has to start some where i was wikipedia a lot and always find the imformation i need. i put in a request a long time ago for a steve mckinnon article and i got sick of waiting. im sure a lot of the articles writting on wikipedia some one would have to have some kinda of conection with the person weither it be an interview they have done or maybe they had read a book or studied them at uni. i wish i had one of these as i would find it easier to write Trupwr (talk) 08:35, 15 June 2010 (UTC) my fierce determination come from the fact it has taken me hours to get this far as i had to learn all the format for wikipedia it isnt the easiest Trupwr (talk) 08:42, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • I understand. The problem is that the article has issues, and you apparently have too little experience of Wikipedia to fix them yet. Just reposting the same text is not going to work, which is why I moved it to your user space for you to work on it. You can get people to help, and you can learn how to link sources and so on by working on other articles. Do you see what I'm saying here? Guy (Help!) 09:01, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

i see what you are saying each time i had edited different parts but until you gave me an example and i have now changed that i wasnt sure were i was going wrong Trupwr (talk) 11:03, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
