Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "UNIacyr", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it appears to represent a company or organization rather than an individual person. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 21:16, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Dear ~Oshwah~ et. al: I am the sole user of this account, and its sole purpose is to update the United News International page. I am an employee of this company, and I made this account to update our very, very out-of-date page. In my revisions, I cited government filings and statistics, all of which are publicly available. I apologize if this presents any conflicts of interest (COI). I was/still am unfamiliar with the full breadth of Wikipedia's policies and was not aware this could present an issue; I only wanted an accurate, up-to-date page. Going forward, I will request edits rather than implement them myself. Again, sincere apologies. UNIacyr (talk) 00:43, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

COI Disclosure[edit]

I am an employee of United News International and was tasked with updating the company's very out-of-date Wikipedia page. All of the information I added is publicly available and sourced accordingly. Going forward, I will include my COI disclosure on every edit I propose to the page. I apologize for not doing this initially; I was unfamiliar with the full breadth of Wikipedia's policies.

Hello[edit]

You seem to have this thing on your talk page that says your engaged in an edit war(which your not). If you were not aware of its existence, do not want it there or do not know how to remove it would you mind if I removed it? Dinah In Wonderland 19:04, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Dinah In Wonderland, I was aware of it but didn't know I could/should delete it! That appeared after I made some changes to the United News International page that resulted in a back-and-forth with what the company believes to be a disgruntled former employee. If you could look at the page in question's History and determine whether or not the edit war flag is necessary, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm still new at this wiki business and am trying to stay transparent UNIacyr (talk) 19:16, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yes I did that already ^-^. I do not believe it is necessary and even if it was they did not put it up correctly. Dinah In Wonderland 19:22, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh by the way it was all different ip addresses. I may be new to Wikipedia but that tells me that it was a bunch of different people reverting you not the same so the edit war is not needed. (And I highly doubt they changed their IP address that much for the article) Dinah In Wonderland 19:27, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you Dinah In Wonderland! I appreciate your help and insight. Could you please delete the Edit War flag or tell me how I go about doing it myself? UNIacyr (talk) 19:30, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I can do it for you real quick as for how it depends on whether you use the mobile version or computer. Dinah In Wonderland 19:33, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Mobile view; Click on the Pencil and choose Visual or Source Editing on your talk page after clicking the view as wiki page

Computer(I do not use this one): I believe is basically the same thing. If you have any questions than leave a message on my Talk Page Dinah In Wonderland 20:12, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

UNIacyr Thanks to you as well! I've never felt so needed on Wikipedia before and now more are asking for my help so I'm glad! And if you want any advice on editing your userpage mine is a good example of such Dinah In Wonderland 20:17, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
