Hello @Unknown129 The MMR contribules around 6-7% of India's GDP being the financial capital, in my opinion the data from the economic survey of Maharastra for 2021 greatly underestimates the GDP of Mumbai, Mumbai contributes 7% of indias GDP so calculating 7% of around 4 trillion comes to 250-260 billion. I can provide several reliable sources to back up this claim read this and this and please do not change data without citing a reliable source. Joy goel (talk) 18:10, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

no sir, you are wrong again.
Mumbai (MMR) contribute only 6% to indian gdp.
Secondly read budget 2024 on PIB India's website, it is clearly said by our finance ministry that our nominal gdp is ₹295.8 lakh crore which is equivalent to $3.5 trillion.
Due to currency devaluation our gdp increased in rupee terms but crashed in dollar terms.
And 6% of 3.5 trillion is equivalent to $210 billion which is almost equal to my estimate of ~$200 billion.
Please verify your data from Government websites..
Government secretly publishes data on their website which shows negative image.
It is propaganda being spreded by media about $4 trillion economy.
In reality our gdp went down from 3.7 trillion to 3.5 trillion. Unknown129 (talk) 18:17, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Unknown129 India's GDP is 3.937 trillion read this article Economy of India Mumbai contributes 6-7% of 3.937 trillion. Please read the sources cited they are reliable sources. Joy goel (talk) 18:28, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
there is no better source than central Government's budget.
Our nominal gdp is ₹295.8 lakh crore which is equivalent to $3.5 trillion.
Rupee devaluation has resulted in gdp reduction in dollar terms.
Government secretly published this data on their website without any noise.
And 6% of $3.5 trillion is $210 billion.
Don't get fooled by government and media's propaganda. They won't cover this news.
But it's upto you now,i am not gonna correct it again.
I hope you find better sources and correct it in future.
Good luck bye 👋 Unknown129 (talk) 18:36, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
