User talk:Vanessa Tripodi
A tag has been placed on Limo Broker UK, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Carados (talk) 03:46, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
Response to your question
[edit]In response to the question you left on my talk page (here): the article List of bus operating companies is not about a company at all, but is a comprehensive listing of many companies falling under that description. The article Stagecoach Group is an article about a multi-million dollar international corporation, written in a neutral tone and with numerous verifiable references. The article Limo Broker UK was written in the tone of an advertisement, contained little encyclopaedic information on the article's subject, had no apparent claim of notability, and did not have any external references. This is why it was deleted.
Also, to be clear, the article was not "marked" for deletion, but rather "deleted". You are certainly welcome to re-create the article if you have more appropriate content to add, however! (By more appropriate, I mean satisfying WP:NOTE, WP:VER, & WP:NPOV). Deleting an article is not meant as a personal affront, and is simply a matter of course on a project as large as Wikipedia: not everything needs or warrants an article! If you have any other questions, you know where to reach me. Cheers! --PeruvianLlama(spit) 04:48, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
