Re: MOYL/Jones

First off, I'm not the source of the rumor, although Owens's and Martindale's departure is true. Second, I've checked and MOYL seems to be still up as of 2008, so whoever said that apparently was wrong, so feel free to remove the information wherever I may have mistakenly put it. JMyrleFuller (talk) 21:25, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

No problem. I understand that it's difficult to find sources for radio stations; actually, in this case I think you've done a pretty good job, and so I removed the 'primary sources' template. The article is in no danger of deletion, if you were wondering about that - it easily meets Wikipedia's requirements. I just add that template to every article I find which doesn't contain any third-party sources; no negative judgement of the article was intended. Terraxos (talk) 20:57, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Possible vandalism in WGTL article

"during the early 1980s famed broadcaster tom ramsey spun records at WGTL. he would often ditch the very lame format that featured 101 strings at noon in a segment that my god was luncheon music. he once put on women is the nigger of the world by john lennon whitley burst from the street into the broken down station and went on a profanity laced tirade. i told you just give the time and weather no intelligent music by hippies."

If someone can find a source, it can probably be included in a more dignified way.Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 20:41, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Where on Wikipedia is news about Wikipedia I saw in the newspaper (on actual paper)

{{helpme}}

As far as I'm aware, there isn't. Try the newspaper's website, or our sister project, Wikinews. Stwalkerstertalk ] 18:01, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Re: WDCG

I undid his reversion and told him he must have a ref for derogatory content. If he re-adds it with no source, I will warn him, if he keeps doing it, I will report him on WP:AIV. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

I just read your second note. I will restore the article to its original condition. J.delanoygabsadds 13:48, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Maybe not, he added refs. I don't know exactly what is going on here. I have to go to work, so I'll try to sort things out when I get back. Sorry. J.delanoygabsadds 13:54, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

WTIX-AM

I have deleted the old WTIX (AM) and moved WTIX-AM there. Thanks for working to satisfy the GFDL. If you mention the source page of copied content then you don't have to say which editor wrote it. If the source was not credited when it was first copied then you can make a dummy edit with edit summary saying content from the source was copied in an earlier edit (it's best if the edit is identifiable). The idea is just that a reader looking at page histories should be able to trace content back to who originally contributed it. It's OK if the reader has to work a little to do that. Your edit to Dollar Bill

Hi

Regarding this edit. Is this person notable? I can find evidence of his notebility on Google. If he his notable, could you create an article before you list him. Thanks. Samuell Lift me up or put me down 23:45, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

What you could do is redirect Bill Dollar to WSOC-FM, then add the link to the dollar bill page. Samuell Lift me up or put me down 17:14, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Much of the playlist was derived from WLEZ-LP, its affiliate.

See http://www.yes.com/station/WLEZ. Mbrstooge (talk) 22:34, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

The last time there was a playlist like that was in mid-May of this year.

I remember a few days ago when I looked at the list, a Celtic Woman song was aired. Mbrstooge (talk) 22:34, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

You know, that sounds like a great idea.

Hi Vchimpanzee. I've responded to your comment on my talk page. Olaf Davis | Talk 16:09, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

WTIX and quotes

All I did back in April was remove the bolding and italics from the quotes, as WP:QUOTE says there is "no need to put quotations in italics", and they make the quoted text more difficult to read. As for removing unsourced quotations, WP:QUOTE says they should be removed if they cannot be sourced. If you can't find and provide the source, it's probably not realistic to expect another editor to find the source, so removal is about the best that can be expected. WP:QUOTE is an essay, not policy, but there is not much objection to its requirements about sourcing. It also discourages lists of quotations, so the string of quotations might come under attack on that front as well. Sorry I can't offer more support for your quotations. Chris the speller (talk) 01:37, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

I have performed the article swap that you requested at WP:RM. Please check to make sure the right articles (and histories) are now in their proper locations. If they are not, please feel free to contact me on my talk page and I will correct them. Thanks! JPG-GR (talk) 05:45, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

Main Page redesign

The Main Page Redesign proposal is currently conducting a straw poll to select five new designs, before an RFC in which one will be proposed to replace the Main Page. The poll closes on October 31st. Your input would be hugely appreciated! Many thanks, PretzelsTalk! 10:21, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

It's all good. I actually appreciate you looking at the sourcing template and filling that out on the other pages. Most "new" (I say "new" meaning people new to these particular pages) editors just add information and run off. Also, the reason I took out the bit about the bald guy watching the footage of the wedding is that it's a presumption, as he is never actually identified. Even though I personally know it was Lex, we cannot say it was just because we personally know it was but have no actual source to back it up.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 23:42, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Well, the reason Chloe, Clark, and Lois aren't really that up-to-date with season 8 is because that section is really supposed to be a summary of the season. When you update after each episode, it makes the tendency to do just that, list events from each individual episode. It's best to wait for an overall storyarc summary. But, I admit that I have been neglecting that aspect of those articles, and I could have updated more (Clark still really doesn't have season 8 info) for each of them.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 23:57, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

WCGC

Thanks for putting together the information on the station. I've got a few things I'll add in a few days when I have time to glean some exact dates from archived material. Jim Mintzer is an old friend/employer of mine, and I know he appreciates the mentions of his tenure as owner/manager of the station.
