Good morning and Happy New Year. Thanks for checking out the Emmylou Harris article.

It might be helpful to check Wikipedia guidelines Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style#Quotation_marks regarding placement of quotation marks. Wikipedia style indeed does not conform to the usual practice in the US, and it may take some getting used to. My take on it is yeah, it might look funny, but when in Rome. . . . With more than 1.5 million Wikipedia articles online, it would be futile to "fix" these instances.

By posting anything to Wikipedia, you yourself are an editor. When communicating with other editors, it is advisable to place your comments on a given article's discussion page rather than insert it into the article itself. Discussion of internal matters within an encyclopedia article is, well, unencyclopedic. Rivertorch 08:07, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
