Schrodinger's cat

[edit]

Did you realize that the AVB interpretation you inserted into the article Schrodinger's cat is a joke? I don't know whether you are deliberately committing WP:VANDALISM or are just very ignorant of physics, but the AVB interpretation is a parody, a put-on. You been punk'd, bro. --ChetvornoTALK 10:13, 27 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Dude!! Assuming that you are very familiar with physics, read the interpretation again, it makes sense. What if the cat dies in vitro?

Jeez, you're actually serious. I thought your blog was a joke. The point of the experiment is not the life/death of a cat, but the possibility of creating a quantum superposition of two states in the box. The two states are: (1) the decay of a radioactive atom, causing the triggering of the geiger counter, breaking the poison vial, and death of the cat, and (2) the lack of a radioactive decay, no triggering of the geiger counter, no breaking of the vial, and the cat goes on living. If, in state (2), the cat were to die of natural causes as you suggest, you could still distinguish the two states by whether the poison vial was broken or not. The cat is only included to make the experiment more dramatic. --ChetvornoTALK 15:05, 27 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
