Shingle beach[edit]

Hi VisitMargate, and thank you for your contribution to Shingle beach. However, the references you offer do not qualify as "reliable sources". To understand what it takes to be a reliable source, you need to study this. You might find, for example, a suitable article in a peer-reviewed journal on sports medicine, which compares different surfaces for how difficult and injury-prone they are when people walk or run on them. You might find something like that if you search using Google Scholar. Good luck! --Epipelagic (talk) 05:28, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well okay. Those are very borderline sources, and I'm surprised you think the "criticism" section is a useful addition. Where I live we have sandy beaches on the East coast and shingle beaches on the West coast. Personally I love both types of beaches. Perhaps there should be a paragraph about how lovely shingle beaches are. But is it really worth going out of the way to note that some people like shingle and some don't? You can say that about practically anything. --Epipelagic (talk) 19:57, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
