Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 19:02, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Christopher Monsanto

[edit]

I'm looking over some of the recent edits on Nemerle, among other pages related to programming the .NET framework. What I'm seeing is User:Christopher Monsanto flagging several .NET framework tools for WP:AfD, and IMO those flags are being added improperly. What he's doing isn't vandalism, though. Despite his claims to be a PhD student, it may well be he simply isn't versed in what's in current use in .NET development, especially if his concentration of study isn't in .NET. With the sheer number of articles he's flagged, I can't assume good faith. That said, the AfD process is quite clear and specific: the template is not to be removed from the article in question until consensus is reached on the applicable AfD discussion page. Meanwhile, I'd suggest opening a discussion at WP:ANI. Cheers, Alan the Roving Ambassador (talk) 17:15, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

On a related note, do not remove AFD templates from a page, no matter how much you disagree with them. Leave that for us administrators. m.o.p 21:45, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
