Information icon Hello, I'm K6ka. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, West Side Story (2020 film), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 17:07, 25 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The recent edit you made to West Side Story (2020 film) fails to cite a reference to verify the information you added concerning the film's language, and so it has been reverted. Please use the article's Talk page if you wish to seek a new WP:CONSENSUS for the assertion. Thank you. -- Ssilvers (talk) 00:23, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Do not continue to WP:EDIT WAR, as you did with your recent edit to West Side Story (2020 film). If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. -- Ssilvers (talk) 00:26, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at West Side Story (2020 film). Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 00:46, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, everyone! The reason why I'm here to request a new username, while being blocked, is I do definitely want to heal myself from all the mistakes I've done in the past and want to give my sincere apology to all the Wikipedians who were somehow offended by my recklessly immature behavior. So if I would have a chance, I'd like to get an optimistically transitional makeover for my Wikipedia user profile, by giving you all a lifetime promise that I would never ever behave a single offensive behavior again, like I did in May 2019, while editing the content of a page without being aware of the rules & regulations and any single matter of respect & love. Now I'm enlightened enough to understand what I've done is completely wrong and hurtful. That's why I came back here again to humbly request the new username, while giving my apology to every single person whoever deserves it, and like I said before, also to heal myself from the painful past as I need to if anybody, anyone would love to help me to. Thanks a lot for reading this far! Have a great day, David Leo, peace & love.

Generally I am well disposed towards requests to be given another chance after a fairly long time. However, some of your edit summaries before being blocked looked rather like trolling, and the way you have expressed yourself in your unblock request looks rather similar, which gives me doubts about the wisdom of unblocking your account. Perhaps you can write something here which gives more of an impression that you are being serious. JBW (talk) 21:14, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, JBW! In order to seriously respond in true and effective manner by respecting your time and contribution, I'd like to admit the truth, that I was just being rude to any other contributors at the time before I was being blocked. It wasn't like trolling in fact. That's why I do want to fix it. So I apologized to all the contributors in the first place for real. But the next thing is I can't remove my edits or delete my account. So I have to embrace my history to keep up with the new username as the new year's resolution. Maybe you'll think, according to your skillful experience, that I'm just trying to cover up my offensive actions in the past and pretend to be someone that I'm not, in order to benefit something at this current time. No, that's not true if you have any perspective like that. I mean, if someone is going to ask me about the old username and its edits, I would sincerely answer that "it was me and my actions in the past." It's only just because I need to rebrand myself by terminating all the past behaviors for the good of our future, while accepting my history in the past. Then I can let my insecurities rest in peace and have a good night sleep. The last thing I'd like to seriously respond is about my writing approach in the previous unblock request. Maybe it might have a possibility to make you assume that, the usage of the words I've proposed in my request was quite massive and expressive, rather than it should be, so it may lead you to think "this is rather look like trolling," instead of the effective and serious consideration of a reader, in this case, an administrator. It's simply just because I love the literary writing approach with the diverse usage of different and useful words to create the context and its presentation. So a literary loving reader can immerse and explore my authentic voice through the words that I've used for good intentions. At the very last but not really least, I would like to propose only for the change of my new username as dl. Then you could block me again from using this account after letting me see my old username has changed to my new healing one. *Now, maybe you're confused about my new username. In this latest request, I just changed David Leo to dl. Only after choosing the name, David Leo, I found a lot of real life people who had already got their usernames as David Leo, on almost every social network platform I've searched through. That's why I don't want my offensive actions in the past to relate with anybody, for just having the same username as David Leo, as an annoying fact or a disturbing matter to them. So in order to avoid the obvious presentation, it's my personal choice to change from David Leo to dl, naming in all lowered case letters, which really looks compact and stylish in my vision. It may not be seen crystal clear in the regular upright text font, but it really looks like that in the slanted cursive writing style, which I use for most of the time whenever I write on the paper or the pad. Though I still don't clearly know yet, is it allowed to delete my previous username request and change its name during the time of consideration before no new username has been permitted to change, I hope some administrators won't delete this latest update of my new username request, like they used to delete the repeated usage of username request as the new topic on my Talk Page according to the policy of One Open Unblock Request At A Time.* Thank you so much for reading this far. Be safe and healthy. Have a great day, dl.

Requested username:

Request reason:

Thank you for your response, Deepfriedokra. I hopefully think I don't need to reminisce the whole reason of my new username request at this time by rewinding back to the start and taking your time vainly. So long story short, I just want to sincerely say, I need to have a healing transition from my insecurities in the past as the new year's resolution. But if I have to fully explain the whole reason in this latest request, please let me know it and I will definitely propose my new username request all over again. Since tomorrow is going to be Christmas Eve, I would like to say Merry Christmas to you. Be safe and healthy. Have a great day, dlIlb.

Decline reason:

Your username is not the reason for the block, and this does not address the reason for your block. You can request renaming on META meta:Special:GlobalRenameRequest --Deepfriedokra (talk) 03:18, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Deepfriedokra: I see no problem with renaming the account, though obviously a user name that doesn't conflict with any existing ones will need to be found.
  • Wainathan Cligne, you have given a fairly long and lyrical account of how you intend to own your past actions but move on from them, telling us that you wish to "let [your] insecurities rest in peace and have a good night sleep", commenting on the appearance of a user name in cursive writing, and so on. However, what is needed is a much plainer and down to earth statement of what kind of editing you are likely to do, how it will differ from what you did before, and a clear indication that you do realise what the reasons for the block were. Unfortunately experience over the years shows that editors who make unblock requests that go all round the garden without actually addressing those three points are very likely to continue to edit in unhelpful ways if they are unblocked. I also strongly urge you to read the guide to appealing blocks if you have not already done so, as it will help you to understand what kinds of thing is likely to work and what isn't. JBW (talk) 22:23, 23 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The chosen username is too similar to an existing username or it used to be username of someone else that got renamed: Dlilb.
