Ro Hancock-Child[edit]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Ro Hancock-Child. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 22:07, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the response, but you didn't answer my question - are you a friend or colleague of Ms. Hancock-Child? As to the rest - well, certainly you have the right to edit articles, as does any Wikipedia editor; but all editing has to take place within the bounds of Wikipedia policy, and a lot of work on that article seems to fall well outside it. The edits which concern you largely reflect the efforts of other, more experienced editors to bring the article in line with those policies. It is not in the least bit personal - in apparent contrast, I might add, to many of the original contributions. In that regard, here are a few of those policies you might read as you begin your Wikipedia career: WP:Notability, WP:Reliable sources, WP:NOTPROMOTION, WP:Puffery, and WP:NPOV. Thanks.
