Mwenecho Swira Smalkj was born in Malawi, Dedza distric on 15 April 1974 fifth son of Ephraim Katulire Swira of Ifumbu Chitipa District and Zeribia Uledi of Pitala, Mchinji District. As a youth, Mwenecho was involved in many church activities such as Youth Fellowships around the city, and conducting choirs and acting.
It was in 1990 when he joined a Sunday School Choir(Area 25) and he progressed and become the youngst church placenter of the synod at the age of 20.
Mwenecho worked as a credit controller before 2002 and in september went to study Social Sciences at Stow College in Glasgow and in 2007 he graduted in accounting displines from North Glasgow Colleege.
Mwenecho married Chimwemwe Chasweka on 30 December 2006. He is reknown and respected because of the choral achievements and contribution.
