The lead could be expanded further to include all the subheadings in the article, such as low latency trading systems. Part of the solution may be to combine sections in the article since some of the sections at the end of the article only contain a paragraph. The style of writing is appropriate for an encyclopedia and the article is properly cited.

The lead mentions "automated trading system" is used synonymously with "algorithmic trading." Clarify what "These" in the second sentence refers to and highlight some of the differences between the two articles.

Minor detail There are citations at the beginning of paragraph two. Either move the citations back to paragraph 1 or combined the two paragraphs.
