Regarding your edits to Boston (band):

[edit]

My edits were not vandalism, so I reverted them. The thing to do if someone makes reasonable and well-cited changes you disagree with is to revise the article. The version you reverted to was less correct than mine. Timothy Horrigan (talk) 11:31, 29 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting that as the above indicates, I am not the only one who made contributions to the Boston page that you deemed to be vandalism and removed. FYI, my contributions regarding vocalist Mark Dixon were based upon direct firsthand knowledge of the information provided, i.e., that Dixon worked with Scholz on sessions for the second Boston album during Brad Delp's absence/non-participation. This chapter of Boston's is little-known, and should be formally documented. While independent references are difficult to find, here is one for you; perhaps YOU will now add this info to the Boston chronology: http://www.buffalomusic.org/1990_mdixon.html Wikimonstro (talk)05:48, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The official site lists all the contributors and musicians that have ever sung/played with Boston. I stand by my edit unless you can find corroborating evidence beside some mention in a local hall of fame listing. Wikipedia has already established that official sources take precedence over other, less verifiable sources. There is nothing in your source to indicate the source of the information. As for the other contributor, he has a history of making unsourced edits and changes to a great many pages. A quick glance at his talk page will illustrate that using him as your example does not put you in good company. Whitelitr (talk) 06:02, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Boston Edit

[edit]

I removed the fact about Boston's debut album being the most sold debut album of all time due to the fact that this is no longer true. Guns N' Roses' Appetite for Destruction currently holds this title with 18x Platinum compared to Boston's 17x Platinum. Kcdude500 (talk) 05:09, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
