Your username

[edit]

Hi Wiki Defence Force - just to let you know, your username is being discussed at WP:RFCN. Deiz talk 14:58, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Further to this, as your username may be misleading, might I suggest that you consider WP:CHU changing your username to one which is not. It's probably possible to choose something that means what you want it to mean, without being misleading, such as "unofficial wiki defender". SamBC(talk) 15:10, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Per the above, and the discussion, I have blocked this account. However this is not a reflection on you or an attempt to stop you editing the encyclopedia, it has just happened because the username you chose may lead people to believe you are acting in an official capacity at wikipedia. Since you only have one contribution, I suggest you simply create a new account and edit from there. Thanks, ViridaeTalk 09:34, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to participate in the discussion. The consensus seemed to be that while a change would be preferable, a block should not be enforced. I would happily put on my userpage, prominently, a disclaimer that I am just a normal editor

Decline reason:

I'm afraid that absent of a great reason for you to keep this username, there is more than enough concern displayed from experienced editors in the WP:RFCN discussion for Viridae to determine a clear consensus to ask you to select a new name. Please don't take this the wrong way, the rules are there for a reason. I hope you choose a new name and continue to support the project with your contributions. Thanks, Deiz talk 10:20, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
