Down Syndrome[edit]

Why did you remove the British name of Down syndrome? Its perfectly appropriate in the article. Removing it looks like vandalism. Thanks, Gwernol 01:48, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is the international encyclopedia for the English language in all its variants. The British English name of Down Syndrome is just as legitimate as the American English version and both should be included in the article. Removing just one is pushing your point of view and is not acceptable. Please don't do this again. Gwernol 02:24, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I know "Trisomy 21" is not the British name for Down Syndrome, I didn't claim that bit was, nor does the article. The American term is "Down syndrome", the British one is "Down's syndrome". Its the latter (note the use of the apostrophe) that you removed, not the reference to Trisomy 21, which is as you state the scientific term. Gwernol 23:50, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
